My perfect day: In words and pictures
Wake up with sun shining and sea breeze. Get up and walk to a coffee shop (simple black coffee). Lounge around till lunch doing productive adult things (email etc.) at a cafe or restaurant. Read on the beach. Go shopping. Go get dinner with friends. Have a beach bonfire. Stargaze. Perfect.
I chose this poem by Christopher Foindexter that states “We build castles with our fears and sleep in them like Kings and Queens”
I thought this poem had a special ability to speak to people from any background because of the universal feeling of fear. I choose the dark castle background because of the obvious connection to the literal words of the poem but also because while the castle is depicted as dar, there is a bright sky beyond. I thought this poem was meant to encourage change, silver linings, and bravery which can all can be personified with a bright blue sky representing a new day. This picture, like the poem, shows the dark side of life but also encouragement to break free.
I thought that Repunzel from tangled would make the perfect advertisement because of her iconic hair that would fit perfectly with the Loreal brand. Loreal is a brand that uses commercials of women and men with beautiful, long, shiny hair to show off its ‘healing’ hair products. The story of Repunzel is centered around her hair and therefore would create an iconic and easily recognizable advertisement.
